What Should I expect when I visit?
The Indian Run Experience
At Indian Run, we feel that it’s OUR responsibility to “clear the way” for you to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of Indian Run. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. How do I get there… what should I wear… what’s available for my kids... what should I expect in church? Here is a quick look at what you can expect, based on what people see when they visit Indian Run.
"Everyone made me feel welcome the first time my family visited the church."
Here at Indian Run, we want you to feel welcome and at home. When you first visit, one of our greeters or staff members will happily help you find childcare, a place for your teens, or your way to worship.
You'll enjoy wonderful music and a message that is both practical and easy to follow. We'll even give you a helpful outline with the Bible passages. What you'll learn on Sunday, you'll be able to use during the week. We want to help you connect with the personal hope and practical help that God is seeking to give you.
The people of Indian Run are all individuals – there is no “church dress code”. While most choose to dress a little nicer than when doing the grocery shopping, when you worship with us you will see everything from suits and ties on some of our men to jeans on some of our youth. Wear something comfortable. Still not sure? Start with business casual – you’ll fit right in!
Q: What's available for my kids?
"I loved the programs for my kids!"
We know that as a parent you need be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. And we know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. We've invested a lot to make sure that both of these goals are reached. You'll see that in the volunteers who work with your kids. To go to a personal message from our staff who work with your kids, click on the following words: Children's Ministry, Student Ministry.
You’re our guest!
As our guest we want you to get something out of worship. We aren’t looking for you to give something. We encourage our regular attendees and members to make a financial offering to support our shared ministry but we invite our guests to pass along the offering plate without making a contribution.
If it's been a long time since you've been to church, Indian Run has you in mind! There's already enough you have to think about when you're visiting a church for the first time. We hope that getting some of this "stuff" out of the way not only encourages you to join us for church, but also helps you connect with the hope and encouragement that God has for you.
